While this year's meeting may look different because we're unable to meet in-person because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the purpose of our virtual annual meeting remains unchanged. Each December for over 100 years, the Association of Minnesota Counties (AMC) Annual Conference is where more than 600 county elected officials, department heads, and staff come together to learn and discuss the important topics and trends affecting county government, and vote on the association's legislative platform and priorities for the coming year.
Minnesota’s 87 counties have a long tradition of connecting with each other through AMC to find solutions to common issues. There are always many challenges and opportunities facing counties and continuing to learn new or improved ways to work and govern is more important now than ever before. The unprecedented challenges of 2020 have put county ingenuity and flexibility to the test and Minnesota's counties have proven once again that they are up to the task of facing challenges head-on by finding new ways to perform their duties and meet the needs of citizens.
