Join Your Friends and Colleagues at the County Event of the Year!
Each December for over 100 years, the Association of Minnesota Counties’ (AMC) Annual Conference is where more than 600 county elected officials, department heads, and staff come together to learn and discuss the important topics and trends affecting county government.
Minnesota’s 87 counties have a long tradition of connecting with each other through AMC to find solutions to common issues. There are always many challenges and opportunities facing counties, and continuing to learn new or improved ways to work and govern is more important now than ever before.
Learn innovative approaches to county challenges from state and county experts! This year's workshop schedule offers 20 one-hour workshops on a wide variety of topics over two days.
This year’s Opening Session on Monday morning features keynote speaker Matt Jones, who will share why “Leadership is Marathon,” by using examples from his own personal struggles with adversity and how life’s challenges pushed him to excel by using principles that county leaders can also use to empower, energize, and inspire themselves and those they lead.
AMC’s Annual Awards Banquet Monday evening provides an opportunity to publicly recognize counties and individuals for outstanding achievements in government.
Nomination forms are available here (deadline: October 26, 2018).
AMC’s Business Meeting Tuesday morning includes important association business, from electing AMC’s 2019 officers to adopting our legislative platform for the coming year.
The final Grand Prize drawing will happen during lunch Tuesday so you can get on the road by mid-afternoon.
