How can you become an AMC Officer?

There are many ways to be more involved with AMC.

From participating on committees  to becoming an officer... From attending conferences to using the many educational tools  available on a daily basis...

There's something for everyone, in a variety of commitment levels.

More than 130 delegates serve on AMC’s five policy committees:

Each policy committee chair serves no more than two consecutive one-year terms.

The Policy Committee shall annually elect a committee chair and such other vice chairs as the committee deems appropriate.  The election shall be held at the first meeting following the adjournment of the Legislature.  In the absence of the chair, a vice chair may perform the duties of the chair.

District Meetings

District meetings are held twice per year (summer/fall).

Every two years, delegates from the counties of each district elect a district director to represent the counties of the district on the Board.   Directors are elected at the first meeting after April 1st of the counties of the district.

Each district shall be represented by one director except that any district and all larger districts having a population which is three times as large as the next smaller district shall be entitled to be represented by five directors. Directors elected from odd numbered districts shall be elected during odd numbered years and directors elected from even numbered districts shall be elected during even numbered years provided, however, that any district entitled to be represented by five directors shall provide for staggered terms of three directors elected in even numbered years and two directors elected in odd numbered years.

Executive Committee
